Russian Ministry of Health approved novel Nomenclature of health care services

The Nomenclature is used to code all health care interventions in public sector. It is a foundation for payment using Russian diagnosis-related groups. Nomenclature will come into force 1st of January 2018.

Last of version of the Nomenclature was approved in December 2011 and underwent four changes: in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

In mid-December 2021, 44 new procedure codes were introduced by the Code Service of the Finnish National Health and Wellbeing Institution (THL). The introduced codes are dedicated to substance abuse, psychological counseling and rehabilitation, palliative care, anesthesia, and sedation. No updates related to medical technologies were introduced.

In mid-December 2021, the Danish Health Data Agency (Sundhedsstyrelsen) published the Health Care Classification System (Sundheds-væsenets Klassifikations System, SKS). The most significant changes include: 41 new diagnosis codes and 21 procedure codes were added. The newly added procedure codes concern mainly spine area and orthopedic procedures.
