French National Authority for Health (HAS) published new set of decisions by CNEDiMTS about add-on and medical aid reimbursement in June

French National Authority for Health (HAS) released new decisions about add-on and medical aid reimbursement of 8 medical devices from the meetings of the National Commission for Evaluation of Medical Devices and Health Technologies (CNEDiMTS).

Three decisions were released for coronary stents:

  • ULTIMASTER, drug-eluting coronary stent (request for amendment, approved)
  • RESOLUTE ONYX, drug-eluting coronary stent (request for amendment, approved)
  • BIOSS LIM C, drug-eluting bifurcation coronary stent (application for registration, approved)

Two decisions were published for portable oxygen concentrators:

  • ZEN-O RS-00500, portable oxygen concentrator (application for registration, approved)
  • XPO2, portable oxygen concentrator (application for renewal of registration, approved)

Three other decisions:

  • UROLIFT, intra-prostatic implant (application for registration, approved)
  • AXIUM, non-rechargeable implantable system for spinal ganglion stimulation (application for registration, approved)
  • Insulin pumps  (request for amendment of technical specifications, approved)

On February 07, 2022, the Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency has announced the withdrawal of the assessments of the PhysioMem PM 100 and CardioMem CM 100 XT and the finalization of the assessments of the Zenicor ECG, Coala Heart Monitor Pro, and KardiaMobile. For the conducted assessments, it was outlined that the portable devices provide more limited information than standard ECG measurements; therefore, it was mainly estimated for atrial fibrillation.

In February 2022, the Finnish Coordinating Center for Health Technology Assessment announced the release of the seven accomplished rapid hospital assessments performed by the Helsinki, Tampere, and Oulu University Hospital. The accomplished rapid HTAs concern the diagnostic imaging, e-Health, endocrine, endoscopy, men’s health, neuromodulation technology groups.
