Sep 2018

The following clarifications were made by the SwissDRG:

From the 31st of July 2018 (CHOP 2018) - Microvascular flap grafting from muscle or band to the hand

A microvascular flap graft from the muscle or band in the hand is encoded with the CHOP codes 83.82.47 "Graft with microvascular anastomosis from muscle or band, other localization" and 82.58 "Other hand transfer or transplantation of muscles." However, the procedure "Interventions on muscles, tendons, bands and bags, with the exception of the hand" should not be coded using the code 83.82.47.

From the 5th of April 2018 (CHOP 2018) - Removal of cytokines by adsorbents

The use of a CytoSorb® adsorbent cartridge for the removal of hydrophobic substances (e.g. cytokines) from the blood is encoded with the CHOP code 99.76.99 "Extracorporeal immunoadsorption, other." The codes 99.76.10 "Extracorporeal immunoadsorption on a non-regenerable column" and 99.76.11 "Extracorporeal immunoadsorption on a regenerable column" are not allowed.

From 2018 (CHOP 2018) - Flow Diverter (including Medina Embolization Device and intra-aneurysmal Flow Diverter)

The flow deviators used for the selective embolization of intracranial vessels (also concerning, e.g. Medina Embolization Device and intra-aneurysmal Flow Diverter) are codified with the CHOP code 39.72.13 "Selective embolization of intracranial vessels by flow-diverter."
