In early January 2021, the new reimbursable health app was introduced on the Directory of digital health applications (DiGAs) at the Federal Office for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). These applications can be prescribed by physicians and psychotherapists and will be reimbursed by health insurers.
In total, ten health apps are now available at the DiGA Directory. The newly introduced health app Rehappy (Rehappy GmbH, Germany) is available with a fitness band with a tariff of €449 and without the band with a tariff of €299. Rehappy is indicated in a range of cerebrovascular diseases and their sequelae, including transient ischemic attack, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhage, stroke, cerebral infarction. The app supports aftercare for stroke patients: the patients are activated, informed, and supported to approach their recovery in a sustainable, self-determined, competent, and confident manner. Rehappy is available only in German.
