In late November 2019, new HTA activities were published on the website of regional HTA program of Lombardy Region, after a long period of inactivity. All of the health technology assessments are requested by Lombard hospitals. Twenty-six (26) new technologies are currently in various stages of the HTA process, and they should all be completed in 2020:
- Computerized Bone Mineralometry with DEXA (Dual X-ray Absorptiometry) technique
- Front Approach For The Hip Replacement (Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery - Amis®) - Total Hip Arthroplasty
- Automatic ultrasound systems for the diagnosis of breast cancer
- Treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) by transperineal percutaneous laser ablation
- Abdominal wall lift with subcutaneous interaction
- Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator WCD
- Diamond OAS for peripheral arterial disease of the lower limbs
- Shockwave coronary IVL
- Evaluation of the axillary Impella 5.0 and comparison with different mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella 2.5/CP, ECMO)
- Ablative therapy of pulmonary veins in the treatment of atrial fibrillation: cryoablation towards radiofrequency
- Assessment of the treatment of neonatal renal failure with continuous CRRT ultrafiltration / depuration technique
- Beamforming (GE) ecotomographic software for the identification and prevention of late myocardial damage in pediatric patients at risk, survivors of serious diseases
- Implementation of a urodynamic laboratory for urinary incontinence in women
- Invasive urodynamic examination (UDS) with Uromic Blues device
- Use of the hunova® robotic platform for the rehabilitation of walking problems and movement disorders of the traumatized elderly patient
- Upper limb rehabilitation using a Hocoma Armeo Power robotic exoskeleton
- Upper limb rehabilitation in post-stroke patients supported by robotic systems
- Corneal crosslinking in progressive keratoconus
- Use of the TYRX medical device in implantation and replacement procedures of pacemakers and defibrillators compared to the only antibiotic prophylaxis foreseen in the preoperative phase
- Medicated sutures for the prevention of surgical infections
- Automated disinfection system of transesophageal probes
- Tetanus Quick Stick (TQS) test
- Endoscopic gastroplasty technology OverStitch Endoscopic Suturing System (Apollo Endosurgery, Inc.)
- TAUROLOCK TP-01-5 catheter lock solution
- Monitoring the depth of anesthesia by using the Bispectral Index (BIS) in the prevention of intraoperative awakening and other complications due to anesthesia
- Evaluation of biomarkers circulating in the blood in order to validate their usefulness from the acute phase to rehabilitation
