On December 18, 2020, the Dutch Healthcare Institute (ZIN) published the detailed application form for the Subsidy Scheme for Promising Care with explanatory notes.
The Subsidy Scheme for Promising Care aims to speed up patient access to potentially promising care through inclusion in the basic insurance package. The scheme entered into force in February 2019. In 2020, five projects were awarded the subsidy for promising care.
There are two rounds per year for applying for a subsidy. Submitting a detailed grant application is the second phase for applying for a subsidy, and it is more extensive than the submission of a project idea, which is the first phase. The closing date for submitting grant applications is March 2, 2021.
Detailed grant applications can only be submitted if a project idea has been submitted in the same round. Grant applications can only be submitted electronically via ProjectNet of the Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development (ZonMw).
The decision on awarding or rejecting the subsidy will be made no later than August 2, 2021.
