Clinical guidelines and recommendations published by HAS in the second quarter of 2019

The French High Authority for Health (HAS) develops clinical guidelines and recommendations whose objective is to guarantee the quality and safety of care delivery within the French setting. In the second quarter of 2019, clinical guidelines/recommendations/reports have been developed for the following 16 topics:

  • Management of common bacterial skin infections
  • Management of the patients with lower back pain
  • The national protocol for diagnosis and care pathway of patients with Aniridia
  • The national protocol for diagnosis and care pathway of pediatric patients with multiple sclerosis
  • Conciliation of drug treatments in oncology
  • Medico-economic evaluation of biological progestins in the management of rheumatoid arthritis
  • Management of adult patients with hepatitis C
  • Antibiotics of enterobacterial and pseudomonas aeruginosa infections in adults: a place of carbapenems and their alternatives
  • Quality of life at the workplace
  • Evaluation of social clusters quality of life at work in health and medico-social establishments
  • Rehabilitation pathways after the initial phase of stroke
  • The national protocol for diagnosis and care pathway of patients with Crohn’s disease (update)
  • Type V Glycogenosis, McArdle’s Disease
  • Infant myoclonic epilepsy
  • Teleimaging
  • Teleconsultation and teleexpertise
  • Vaccine recommendation against invasive meningococcal disease B: Place of the Trumenba® vaccine-Roadmap
  • Systemic necrotic vasculitis (periarteritis nodosa and vasculitis associated with ANCA)

On February 22, 2022, a repository of innovative acts outside the nomenclature of biology and anatomopathology (RIHN) and a Supplementary list of IVD tests were published. Minor changes were introduced in the 2022 RIHN list.

On February 15, 2022, the preliminary version of the DRG manual for 2022 was published in France. Introduced changes (new DRGs, change of DRG logic) concern surgical procedures on the breast, interventions for malignant skin tumors, interventions of excision and grafting on the skin and subcutaneous tissue, spondyloplasties.

On February 15, 2022, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) announced the start of the submission period for the applications for new procedure codes and IVD tests to be included in the 2023 HAS working program. Furthermore, a new platform for dossier submission is launched.

On January 26, 2022, the HAS published standards for medical telemonitoring of four chronic pathologies (chronic respiratory failure, chronic heart failure, chronic renal failure, and diabetes). These standards must be met by technologies in order to be reimbursed by the new reimbursement framework for telemonitoring, which is expected to enter into force in July 2022.
