The NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) has launched its call for applications representing high impact, evidence-based innovations from September 01, 2020.

NIA is an award-winning national initiative supported by England’s 15 Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs), which helps dedicated innovations to spread more comprehensively in the healthcare system.

The applications can be submitted by passionate individuals from any background – clinicians, academics, a public-sector, charitable, or not-for-profit organization, from a small or medium-sized enterprise or a large corporate.

Innovations must address at least one of the following themes:

  • Mental health
  • Supporting the NHS workforce

The innovation should demonstrate significant outcomes for significantly lower costs, be supported by an evidence-base, and ready to be diffused across the NHS.

The following documents provide full information on the process of completing and submitting the application:

Applications must be submitted via the application portal; the deadline is 23:59 October 16, 2020.
